Matt Hank
Matt has been developing cutting edge sports performance programs for the last 8 years.
He has worked with youth, high school, college, and professional athletes.
His knowledge and passion for sports performance makes him a highly respected strength
and conditioning coach. Matt is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
(CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is
also certified through USA Weightlifting (USAW), specializing in Olympic Lifting.
Matt received his Bachelors degree from San Diego State University in 2004, where
he worked with the fitness programs on campus and began personal training. He
then went on to receive his Master’s degree from Cal State Northridge in 2006
where he worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the athletic department
during graduate school. During this time he also trained local high school
athletes, as well as personal training clients. After finishing graduate school, Matt
moved back to San Diego to work as a strength and conditioning coach for the University of
San Diego (USD). After a stint with the Toreros, Matt took on a great opportunity and
worked at the Sports Performance Combine as a strength
and conditioning coach training local high schools teams and individual athletes.
In 2007 Matt took a position with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as a
strength and conditioning coach for Cedar Rapids Kernels minor league baseball
team. Matt now resides in Valencia where he trains a wide variety of clientele
looking to improve their fitness and sports performance goals.
Mike Guevara
Mike has been working with athletes as young as 7 years of age, all the way up to college level athletes since
the start of his career at the Sports Performance Institute in Moorpark, CA in 2008 as an Intern. Mike has also been in charge of
athletic development for the Real California FC teams: U11, U9, and U8 grils teams since 2009. He is currently a Senior at Cal
State University Northridge graduating in the Fall of 2010 with a B.S. in Kinesiology (exercise science option) and is also
currently preping for the NSCA CSCS certification. He plans on furthering his education at CSUN entering the Biomechanics grad
program in the Spring of 2011.
Mike has participated in football throughout the majority of his life. After graduating from Oxnard High School, he attended
LA Pierce College earning his A.A. degree as well as earning an athletic scholarship to play wide receiver for Ferris State
University in Big Rapids, MI earning all-conference laurels his senior year. Playing football has helped Mike develop the passion
for training hard and keeping the body in the best condition for the grueling fall seasons. The power of motivating those around
him was also developed here which is a key component of coaching athletes and helping them reach their goals.
